| Baadshah (transl. King) is a 1999 Indian Hindi-language action comedy film directed by Abbas-Mustan. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan and Twinkle Khanna in lead roles. It was released on 27 August 1999. Khan earned a Filmfare Award for Best Performance in a Comic Role nomination for his performance in the film. The film’s core plot is loosely based on the 1995 American film Nick of Time and the 1998 film Rush Hour.Babulal a.k.a. Raj Rai is a young man living with his mother, who wishes to follow in his late father’s footsteps by working as a detective named Baadshah. He runs a detective agency out of a Mumbai office full of cheesy detective gadgetry. In his employ are his loyal and helpful friends, and his chief assistant Ramlal. Though Baadshah tries hard to pass his agency off as highly sophisticated and constantly busy, he actually receives little business and is desperate for a big break.Suraj Singh Thapar is a business tycoon whose bio-chemical plant is due to be shut down following a preventable industrial accident. It will be shut down by the popular Chief Minister of Goa, Gayatri Bachchan. As a result, he resolves to have her killed. For the job, he has Rani, his young henchwoman, hire Shiva, Mumbai’s notorious contract-killer. Meanwhile, a man by the name of K. Jhunjhunwala comes to Baadshah with a strange case. He claims he is dying of a brain tumor and wants to see his daughter married to the suitable bachelor accompanying him, Nitin before he dies. The young woman, Seema, refuses to marry Nitin, hence the need for Baadshah’s help. Baadshah comes up with an elaborate plan for the job: he woos Seema with lies and has her fall in love with him, only to dump her later. Nitin comforts her, and Baadshah collects his payment. However, his feelings for her prove to be genuine. | ||||

| First Love Letter – VCF 2032 – LP Record | ||||
| First Love Letter is a Pahlaj Nihalani film in which Vivek Mushran and Manisha Koirala made their original debut in a romance and action scenario showing that love transcends all barriers . Since Subhash Ghai was introducing the stars in Saudagar (1991 film), Pahlaj Nihalani had to wait for the release of his film, which was completed before Saudagar.The story opens with Radha, Manisha Koirala wanting more from life then just being a rich heiress to her father Thakur Ajit Singh’s, Danny Denzongpa fortunes and wants to relocate from her home to the hilly locales of Palampur, where her father has a house. This is not liked by her father, but he has to relent due to the intervention of his younger brother Thakur Shrikant Singh played by Dalip Tahil, who is living the life of a recluse after the murder of his lady love Kasturi.In the hilly locales, Radha is mesmerized one day to the melodies of the flute, which she follows and meets Shyam, Vivek Mushran, who also saves her life when she is about to fall in the deep gorges of the valleys. They meet again and slowly develop a bond of inseparable love, both being drawn to each other’s youth and simplicity. Radha does not disclose her true identity, at first and when Shyam comes to know that she is the daughter of Thakur Ajit Singh, he feels cheated as he considers him to be a tyrant landlord. To top it, Thakur Ajit Singh also dislikes this growing intimacy between a local milk seller which is the profession of Shyam and his only daughter. So he fixes the marriage of his daughter to Thakur Ambar Singh, Chunky Pandey.Meanwhile Radha is attacked by a seasoned killer Bheema, Gulshan Grover, who wants to molest her, but is timely saved by Thakur Ambar Singh, who also now falls in love with her. His mother Uma Devi, Sushma Seth makes him all the more happy when she tells him that Radha was the same girl that she has fixed his marriage with. This alliance when revealed to Radha by her father and mother Beena Banerjee, is rejected by her , but she is forcibly married to Thakur Ambar Singh. Radha on her part leaves the marriage ceremony in complete and tells Thakur Ambar Singh that she loved Shyam and had secretly married him.Thakur Ajit Singh is a wealthy, and orthodox man, who lives in a palatial house. He believes that women should always be indoors and never interfere with business affairs outside of the house. He also believes that marriage should only take between equals. He is shocked and angered to learn that his only daughter, Radha, has fallen in love with a poor man named Shyam. He vehemently opposes this marriage, but Radha is adamant, and he has Shyam arrested, beaten and imprisoned. At the insistence of his brother, Shrikant, Ajit compromises and tells his family that he has permitted Radha to marry Shyam. | ||||
