The story features an aristocrat man, Dhani Ram, who looks down upon people who resort to manual labour work. He hopes to see his son Madan (Kishore Kumar) work in a government office and restore the dwindling aristocratic image of their family. However, due to lack of government jobs, Madam ends up getting employed as a manual labourer. Enraged to see his son working as a labourer, Dhani Ram decides to disown him. Madan continues to work as labourer and soon ends up setting a huge printing factory. Situations turn ironic when his father, Dhani Ram applies for job as a labourer in his company.
