Pioneer – PL-61 – Belt-Drive Stereo Turntable
The Pioneer PL-61 is an old-school turntable model designed by Pioneer Electronic Corporation. It was introduced in the early 1980s and was popular in the audio market due to its high-quality components, such as a high-torque direct-drive motor, a chromium-plated tonearm, and a textured brushed finish on the stable die-cast chassis. The PL-61 had adjustable tracking force, anti-skate control, and an electronic speed change feature, allowing smooth transitions between 33⅓, 45, and 78 RPM. Overall, the Pioneer PL-61 was a high-end vinyl turntable that set a new standard in the industry for its aesthetics and sound quality.
