| These sounds are reasonably well recorded – for 1960s technology! You only discover they are this old when you open out the cover insert; the copyright date on the back of the CD suggests the recordings were made in 1981. The sounds are mono, which doesn’t matter for single sounds -, e.g. dog barking – but these days everyone expects stereo (if not surround sound) so effects like waves breaking on the seashore are disappointing. | |
