| At a special show performance of Motown artists, I had the pleasure of introducing Stevie Wonder, after which the applause was thunderous . Stevie, at the age of 12, enjoyed his first big hit entitled “Fingertips, Part 2,” which was recorded live and is included in this album, as well as the songs mentioned above. the number one position in the national trade charts for several weeks. It is a fact that the combined abilities and talents of the recording artists, the writers and producers create the Motown Sound. The reason and the key, it seems to me, is that all of the Motown people have a great lovefor the music they create, as well as a love for the people around them. Stevie Wonder, at the age of 17, is certainly regarded as one of this decade’s great enter- tainers. His destiny is greatness. He possesses boundless energy and a keen sense of humor.
