Sunil Ganguly (1 January 1938 – 12 June 1999) was an Indian instrumentalist from the city of Kolkata (Calcutta) who played the Hawaiian electric guitar.He produced many 78 RPM, SP, EP, Super-7, LP discs, audio cassettes and CDs from HMV, Concord Records and Sagarika including classical-based songs like “Yaad piya ki aaye”. He made records of Indian Hindi film songs, classical based songs, and Bengali songs, and popularised the Hawaiian guitar in India.
